Rainbows!

What a beautiful day today! Sunny, with a little breeze, not hot, not humid, just perfect! I wish all of us were somewhere on the Cape, Sasha’s and Nastia’s favorite place so far! I can invision us walking along the shore, enjoying cool water and small waves touching our feet, while watching Sasha and Nastia searching for beautiful sea shells–one of our favorite activities on the Cape. Sasha already has a big collection of shells, which he loves very much. From time to time and with utmost enjoyment he goes through them, sorts them, takes them out and arranges them in various patterns. Some of the shells he found in Miami or on the Cape. More recent additions include shells he brought from Ukraine from the Desna River and some he found in Russia, on a small beach in the Park named after Tolstoy in Khimki. He also has a very nice big shell that Irina, his favorite teacher from Baby Academy, gave him. His collection also has shells that he and Ms. Alana painted together this summer at the Suzuki camp. The newest addition to his collection is a tiny shell from Nara Camp in Acton. I wonder how big his collection will grow as we travel in the future… I am sure Sasha will have a few more shells added to his collection after our upcoming trip to Riviera Beach Resort, located… where else… on the Cape?

Today, Nastia and I were home, just the two of us. I was working from home and she had a day off from daycare. While it is not the same as being at a beach, we enjoyed our time together. In the afternoon, we enjoyed spending time on our backyard, watering plants and flowers, running under water sprinklers, and making our own rainbows. We first made one, and then another one, and another one, and then one more, and then lot’s and lot’s more of them. Can’t wait to make more rainbows some other time, together with Sasha and Misha.
